What are the classifications of bolts?

Thread requirements: All threads shall meet the requirements of ASME B1.1.

Jack Screws: Use jack screws to facilitate flange separation for maintenance. Connector assemblies that often require frequent separation include orifice plates, eyeglass plates, gaskets, screens and blanking spools. The piping layout should be designed so that the flanges can be separated without using excessive force. The jacking screw should be installed in a location accessible from both sides of the pipe. For orifice flanges, lifting screws should be installed at 3 and 9 o'clock. When using a flange separator, no jack screws are required.

Selection of bolts: The bolts for flange connection should be selected according to the use temperature and the corrosivity of the environment.

Bolt length and size: Bolt length and diameter are determined by the flange standard used.

Bolt length: Bolts should be expressed in diameter, in millimeters, rounded to the nearest 5 mm.

Flat washer: In special cases, it is necessary to use a flat washer under the nut on the insulating flange and under the nut close to the plastic flange.

Belleville washer : Belleville washer is required for cycle maintenance and bolt maintenance temperatures above 450 degrees Celsius
