Frequently Asked Questions for Communications Teams

Can a release be held until a set time?

You confirm the distribution date after the copy is cleared and before it goes out. That is the hold. ARC does not offer an embargo that releases automatically to a reporter list at a clock time.

How long does the read take?

Releases that pass the automated compliance check publish quickly. Anything flagged goes to a person, and that read takes one to three business days. Plan the announcement date around the longer of the two.

What do I get as proof?

A clipping report with the live URLs where the release was placed. Not a PDF of logos. If a placement is missing from the report, it did not run.

Does this put my company into AI answers?

It puts the release on outlets those systems cite, which is the part you can buy. Whether ChatGPT or Gemini then names you is their choice. ARC can track the answers afterward and show you where you were mentioned and where you were not.

Can one announcement go to two regions?

Yes. Buy a package per region and assign the same release to each order. One order can also carry more than one release when the package allows it.

What gets a release rejected?

No news angle, no named source, copy written as a sales pitch, or a subject on the exclusion list. The full list is on the editorial guidelines page, and it is worth reading before you draft.

Who on my side can file?

A newsroom has four roles: Owner, Manager, Publisher, and Editor. Editors can draft. Publishers can file. The Owner is the only one who can close the newsroom.
